We are pleased to inform you about NPS Vatsalya, a special long-term savings scheme introduced for children below 18 years of age to help secure their financial future through disciplined savings and the power of compounding.
Parents who are interested may voluntarily open an NPS Vatsalya Account for their child. The account is managed by the parent/guardian and helps in building a strong financial foundation for the child’s future needs.
Key Highlights of NPS Vatsalya:
✅ Open for all Indian citizens below 18 years of age
✅ Start investment with a minimum contribution of ₹250 per year
✅ No maximum investment limit
✅ Encourages long-term savings and financial discipline
✅ Account can be opened and managed by a parent/guardian
Documents Required:
📌 Child’s Date of Birth Proof (Birth Certificate/School ID/Passport/PAN, etc.)
📌 Parent/Guardian KYC documents with PAN/Form 60
Interested parents may open the account online through eNPS or offline through authorized banks/post offices and pension service providers.
This is completely optional and voluntary. Parents interested in enrolling their child may explore the scheme for long-term financial planning.
